Assist and lead the stalled deployment of a public sector procurement hub across two public sector organisations in the UK
Solution Scope
Restart the deployment of the procurement hub which had stalled due to lack of clarity of processes, lack of user buy in and lack of senior stakeholder engagement
Create project plan to go live, working to tight timescale and constrained budget
Implement current state analysis, supplier enablement analysis, end user training and solution rollout
My Responsibilities
Create detailed project plan, covering phases, activities and milestones
Create and manage risks and dependencies trackers, identifying mitigating actions for risks and escalating to the project board where necessary
Create communications and change management plan, working with stakeholders across the business to ensure that the appropriate momentum was gained by the project
Create detailed supplier enablement plan, identifying appropriate suppliers and onboarding them to the procurement hub
Creating and executing detailed training plan, ensuring that all users across the various roles had the appropriate communications and training prior to go-live
Managing team members across the two organisations, ensuring that weekly responsibilities were clear and timeliness was maintained in delivery
Ensuring that project governance controls were adhered to, reports were produced appropriately and any escalations required were clearly and swiftly presented, along with options for resolution
Outcome
The revised rollout plans were well received by both organisations, despite some initial scepticism
Far higher levels of supplier adoption and eInvoicing were achieved than expected, positive enablement momentum was established and continued post-delivery by the procurement teams within the organisations
Both go-lives were achieved on time and on budget, in addition we were able to leverage the tools and methods developed into a “rollout toolkit” to be used for future hub deployments
